That mirror is sweet....I don't park it in a garage but the auto dimming and compass are worth it alone imo. Do you have to take the headliner off? Anyone have an install video?
I made a detailed post in that thread about installing it; things that the instructions didn't cover, or didn't cover well enough--but short answer is no, you don't need to remove the headliner. The most you have to do involving the headliner is carefully pull the edge down about an inch so you can slip the wiring and connectors past it and tuck them away in the headliner. Everything else is simple as long as you follow the instructions closely and pay attention to the wiring colors specific to the Veloster.

I kinda stopped worrying about it for a bit until I was reading some more posts on here and people were saying they were getting 30-34mpg on average and 28-30 in N mode.
There isn't anyone getting a consistent 30-34 mpg with the VN in N-Mode. Not unless they're doing a bunch of downhill off throttle running. Just doesn't happen and what they're claiming is not accurate.
200 degree oil temps is actually 20 degrees below normal operating temps. 220 degrees F is required to burn off all the deposits and accumulated water vapor. 250 and greater there's an issue. You don't have an issue.

You're engine shouldn't run consistently, with oil temps under 200 degrees.

200-210

I said 28-30mpg in N mode...and I mostly drive on the highway in normal mode and only got around 23-24 mpg. Epa rates the car at 29mpg highway and those estimates are always lower so you think the car over-performs, not under performs. Never said anything about oil temps under 200° either...I wanted to see if other people were getting temps hotter than 200°
Car has been parked for 2 weeks in a garage and I just tried to pull it out a bit and run it and the back wheels are seized up. Won't move at all, I got them to slide on my cement garage floor but wouldn't spin. Looks like my rear brakes are having trouble letting go, I'm sure that's what's been causing my issues.

Put the car in reverse and back up. You'll hear a loud pop but don't be alarmed. This is common problem with VN and the cast iron rotors and metallic pads. In a moist climate or after they've been washed and the emergency brake is applied, surface rust will form on the pads and rotor and freeze up. The fix is to replace with ceramic non-metallic pads.

Suggest you release the brake and use a set of rubber chalks in the garage. I understand how the car will slide easily on the smooth surface. I also understand about the oil temps. Simply wanted to put your mind at ease and confirm there isn't an issue.

Merry Christmas
