Question for thoes Veloster N in the US?

I am finished the break in period and was wondering if anyone had tried out the Lauch Control feature?

I can’t get it to activate in my car...not that I need to use this feature, but the owners manual has it in there and was just getting fimiluar with all the bells and whistles. I am following all the steps listed in the owners manual!

Any thoughts?

Don't use it until the N is broken in. I don't know how many miles you have on you N but I believe it isn't active until after the break-in period. Ford did this with the GT500 and the Supercharger. It wouldn't boost until after the break-inn period of 500 miles. Try it after 500 miles. Just don't make a habit of it. It states that continued use will cause accelerated wear on the clutch and powertrain.

I’m at about 700 plus miles on mine and I attempted launch control. I followed all the things it said in the book and it seemed like my revs held steady at a certain point but the screen never said launch control activated. I wasn’t planning on even using it I just wanted to see it activate. So I’m not sure what the deal is with it. Now I also have the non performance package, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. But if you get it to work def let us know!

I think it's only available on the PP N.

I also cannot get my launch control to activate . I tried everything . Read the manual way past break in period . Can't get it to activate . Not sure what's going on . I feel like it has something to do with the oil tempreture ... I think it has to be over 100 degrees . ... We need to figure this out !!!😓😓

The car needs to be warmed up completely. See those little yellow elongated LED's above the tach make sure they are not on. We'll figure it out jointly. When I get there in milage I'll give it a try and see what I can come up with.

I just bought my N today and the dealer showed me how to do it. During the delivery, he put it in N mode, put the clutch in, put it in first, and put the gas pedal to the floor (it was still warm from my test drive). The message "Launch Control Ready" lit up, but because I only had 19 or 20 miles on, that's as far as he went.

Yes it does ... and maybe it has to do with the Limited Slip Diff? The sticker for the package says:

275 HP
19-Inch Alloy Wheels
235/35 R19 Pirelli P Zero Summer Tires
("HN" Exclusive for Veloster N)
N Corner Carving Differential

(Limited Slip Differential with Electronic Control)
Variable Exhaust Valve System
13.6-Inch Front Rotors/ 12.4-Inch Rear Rotors

So I finally figured it out... Most of us are trying to slowly "floor" the gas paddle. The thing is the rpms stabilize around 3500 rpms. If you press on the gas slowly the car doesn't know that you "floored" it until you exceed probably 5000 rpms.

Long story short:

1. Put the car in N mode and sure that ESC is in sport mode

2. Push the clutch all the way in and put in the 1st gear

3. Push the gas paddle all the way in as fast as possible

You will see the message that the launch control is activated.

Now you can use cruise control to adjust the rpms.

I've done that still doesn't work ... Was out on Saturday on an empty road trying everything . ..

Couple things to add. oil temp has to be at operating temp, complete stop, and if your trying to do it back to back there is a cooldown time in between uses. Dont know how long, id guess a couple minutes.
