I'm curious to know if anyone in Canada has gotten a Veloster N yet? I saw one at the Hyundai in Vancouver and someone had just bought it the day before and were picking it up today. It was in performance blue, and i'm wondering who the lucky owner is :).

We'd say congrats on your VN and being one of the first new owners on board. Would love to hear your impressions so far if that's the case.
To which I’d respond, thank you kindly 🙂. Impressions so far are, it’s a pretty darn sweet car. Fortunately I was able to test drive it before I bought it (I did not pre-order) and it was hard to say no after I got a great deal on my trade in, plus a little more discount since the car had around 40 Kms on it.

Quite good in the corners, lots of fun in N mode, fuel economy is still being assessed as I just finished breaking it in (1000 KM break in). Get lots of attention in it as it’s quite striking in person. Seats are comfy, no issues there. Having issues smoothly shifting from 1-2 and sometimes 2-3 but maybe that’s just me having to re-learn where the clutch catches in this car. Interestingly enough, my car had some work done at port and no one knows exactly what as that info is kept by the port. If anyone gets one see if you can get the seller to prove to you if any work was done At port as I had to use some insider info before I got the print out indicating work was done.

Infotainment system is okay, already looking for ways to hack it though. I’m annoyed the backup camera doesn’t stay clean, anyone got a suggestion for this? It’s my first car with one so I’m a newbie in this regard.

BlueLink is nice but can’t do remote start for manual cars so that was super annoying as that wasn’t clearly laid out when I bought it but oh well, it’s free for 5 years.

That’s all I can think of for now. Feel free to ask more questions.

With such a mild winter and deliveries starting in the next week or so, its an opportune time to get some test drives in. What were you driving before and how does the VN compare?
Indeed. Was driving a 2010 genesis coupe, 2.0T GT before. It drives a lot better, is a lot quicker of course, feels like it corners better, and quite frankly is a huge upgrade for me. Definitely seem to have more space so I can actually take 3 people plus me if need be (before is was 2 people plus me as I couldn’t move my seat forward since I’m tall otherwise it would be super uncomfortable)

Was hoping that the gearbox would be a bit smoother than the Genesis coupe, as I also encountered some rough spots going from 1st to 2nd. That's an interesting note about the port work. Hope you can figure out what exactly was done.
