Kelley Blue Book has given the Veloster N their Best Buy Award for Performance Car for 2019. This is based upon pricing, the estimate 5 year cost to own date, consumer reviews and ratings as well as expected sales. They also awarded the Kona as their best subcompact.
'It is an honor to receive Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Awards for our new subcompact SUV and our first entry from the N performance division, demonstrating excellence across the lineup as Hyundai continues to expand its offerings,' said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. 'Kelley Blue Book is a valuable resource for prospective car buyers, and this prestigious award further demonstrates that Hyundai customers are making a smart choice.'

It seems that Hyundai is making a lot of progress across their portfolio with their newer vehicles. I know the Kona has been hitting all kinds of milestones in NA since release. There will be a lot of people with an interest in a hot hatch that's reasonably priced.

Value is the strongest component that the VN has going for it. While its power output numbers are decent with the performance pack, people will obviously conclude that its less powerful than some of the other key players in the segment.

Its not all about numbers, and early test drives have already proven the VN to be a solid performer on the track. Since Hyundai has already announced that we will be getting an N branded performance product line, fine tweaking should help to push the platform even further.
