Veloster N vs MINI JCW

I think the Veloster is a bit faster actually he has more torque out of the corners. The mini looks like it has to try to keep up out of the corners especially leading.

I had a conversation recently on FB Messenger with one of the guys from the Straight Pipes youtube channel about the differences between the VN and the Mini JCW. I was asking specifically about the exhaust, but, well, here is the exchange.
Me: The Mini Cooper JCW with the active exhaust sounds amazing, and so does the Hyundai Veloster N exhaust. Which sounds better, in your opinion?
SP: The jcw pops way more, which is hilarious. The Veloster has slightly more "authentic" added pops lol. They're also sharper and shorter pops. Very different.
Me: So which do you like better? I know it's a subjective thing...
SP: Not sure. I like the Veloster N more as a car.
Me: Wow, okay, interesting! Thanks, I'm probably getting the Veloster N, especially considering the substantial price difference. But you helped seal the deal!
SP: It's a better car to drive. Interior isn't as nice, but whatever. Drives way better

228hp vs 275hp the Hyundai should be pulling away easily every time. ???
I'm pretty sure the mini weighs In a bit lighter and those things really do handle like go karts. The n feels a bit bigger but the power more than makes up for it in my opinion. I used to own a mini Cooper s 1.6t and would be able to keep up with BMWs and subies with over a hundred more hp through the curves no problem.
