The dealership near me marked this one up to $37k from MSRP 29k... but here's a couple pics for your enjoyment.

I just left the dealer they put a 10k mark-up and brought it down to 37k out the door that's still 4k over msrp. This is the second dealer that does this. I'll pay msrp but nothing more. That's type R price.

I test drove a black one with the performance package on SUNDAY, it was AMAZING! Still not paying mark-up.

Yes ive had the same issue with dealers. sad thing is someone will actually buy it marked up that high eventually.

Appreciate the pics, it looks awesome. Really disappointed to hear about the markups already. Leave it to dealers to ruin the launch of such a great new hot hatch.

$34,599 Canadian for performance package ( only option available here ) also get heated seats and steering wheel.

Just make sure you go over the bodywork to ensure any damage from shipping was taken care of. "New" cars are so new afterall.

I did more than that I spoke to my lawyer, but he said that what counts is the price on the sticker. The price on the sticker of the car is 40k. I'll wait a few weeks if I have to.

UPDATE: The dealership changed the pricing to $32k according to their website. Figures someone actually did some research? Still more than I'd want to pay lol

Doesn't make any difference if you call them out on it or not. They'll just tell you, it's fair market value. Yes, the Canuks get heated steering wheel and seats, it's cold up there.:grin:

They aren't going to deal on the N either, so you'll either pay the price or no N. Most dealers are attempting to feel out the market. But $32K is about as cheap as you're going to see for quite awhile. Most are getting just one N in either, standard or performance package trim.
