The Veloster N will get some exclusive N design cloth sport seats,as well as a unique steering wheel, shift knob, door sill plates and instrument cluster. A bunch of interior details will also be accented in the N performance blue.

Aside from the steering wheel looking like it belongs in a base Sonata and not a higher performing Hyundai product, I would say they did a great job.
Can't wait to test those seat bolsters, hopefully they're not too restrictive.

Was really hoping for a bit more color in the cabin. This really just comes off as bland, and there were better looking interiors in the first generation Genesis GT.
I was just coming here to say this. The interior of my current Genesis is more premium/sporty looking than what Hyundai has done here. Has there been any mention of interior color options?

don't expect much from Hyundai with the Veloster N's launch years.

it started off depending a lot on what Hyundai already uses elsewhere and will continue to till sales pick up and they can make the case for a larger investment.

I guess its just their attempt at cost cutting? Though the lack of variation is a bit disappointing, hopefully they at least aren't using cheap feeling plastics/materials in the cabin.
In an industry where revised versions come out every year and marketing tactics are used to rush people in, cost cutting and reducing what they can upfront is just part of the game.

With the competitiveness of this segment, I just think that expectations are higher than what they were before. This layout is for the most part exactly what's seen in the Elantra GT. But even that model has accented stitching.

The interior fit and finish seems fine to me. The seat belts are blue and some blue stitching too ... What I think is missing is the safety stuff that is just about standard on many cars now. The blind spot and cross traffic warnings etc. All there is is the backup cam. Also I would have thought the N would have the HUD like the Turbo. The sound system is head and shoulders above the '16 Veloster Turbo I had.

IMO it can be purposeful AND convenient at the same time. How much clutter is it really to have the garage door opener button on the rearview mirror? Now I have to have a clunky box hanging from the visor just to open the door. How bad is it to have HUD so you can keep your eyes on the road? Does a small yellow light in the mirror blinking when someone is in your blindspot too much? It's not like there is a full view out the back ... And really, is it too much to have a bird's eye view of your surroundings to keep from running over the neighbor's kid's bike? Not to mention that now I have to bring a cable to hook my phone up to get a map to get to a new place ... I drive the car in the real world and not just a few loops around a track once a month ... and all that might add what - 5 pounds?

Cost plain and simple! Add all this that you want and the cost would be out of reach of the target buyers. The Veloster Ultimate is already @ 29K+ add in the rest you wanted and you're looking at nearly $40K

If you don't like it sell it, why did you buy it in the first place?

You say you just bought one, no photos, no proof, and you're already complaining. I'm beginning to doubt you ever bought one. We've had several come here and state they have purchased one and it never happened.

Who was the dealer you bought it from and lets see the final work sheet, with your name and personal info block out, naturally! If you bought one, you'll have no problem posting the photos of your new Veloster N, now would you? ...........Just saying man!

Blessings and Peace

He has a weird fascination with seeing people's paperwork and demanding proof of ownership. Why anyone would go on a forum and lie about owning a vehicle is beyond me. Your points about stuff missing from the N are good ones but I do believe that performance at this price point was the goal and those things would jeopardize hitting that goal. Sacrifices had to be made.

I will say though, as long as I've been waiting for the N to come to the states and as much as I hyped it up in my mind it is still better than I expected and makes me smile every day.
