What a monster cat pipe. Napoleon is going on a diet today. About 4 hours in, counting the hour I used last night to expose the studs and hit them with penetrant. That blind stud nut really is a pain and I'm hoping that torquing it down properly won't fight me.

Special thanks to all the forum peeps that shared their knowledge and experiences with this particular project. I owe you all a drink :coffee: 🍺

Back to it!

Don’t get in a hurry to finish it. Take your time, it’s not a competition to see who gets one done the fastest. Please, ask questions if you get in a bind or need reassurance.👍🇺🇸

Thank you sir. I took off work today to have extra time and go slow. I've only cursed at the thing a few times

I couldn't find the right combo of swivel sockets/extension to tighten that blind nut, so I cut a 14 mm box wrench in half and it works fairly well. I'll definitely reach out if I hit an unexpected snag.

Update for any curious souls: all good! Drives great and boy is it LOUD (paired with the Borla cat-back). I'm going to pick up a better socket for that rear nut and re-torque everything tomorrow or Monday. Then I'll declare victory.

Best to all,

Briano
