Turbo Tech Racing has just released a new upper right & lower mount for the Veloster N. Both units make an excellent combination to reduce wheel hop and engine torque. The prototype is finished and mounted. They'll begin full production quite soon.

The amount of flex from the OEM UPR mount is considerable and flexes in all directions as you can see in the photos. So, it's no wonder the VN has a wheel hop issue. The Upper Right Motor Mount sells for $225.00 and worth every penny. The Lower Motor Mount sells for $195. https://www.turbotechracing.com/productcart/pc/viewCategories.asp?

The Lower motor mount unlike others uses a square bushing that reduces the back/forth movement associate with torque from the VN. It allows minimal up/down movement which contributes to a vst reduction in overall engine movement. The OEM unit allows significant movement in all directions, which translates to; extensive engine movement and wheel hop under acceleration. Now the VN stays planted from hard starts and thru acceleration. Which transfers more power to the ground.

Durometer range for the lower mount is 75A, if you're interested. With the combination of both upper and lower Turbo Tech Motor Mounts, power deliver is excellent and wheel hop is non-existent.

So here is the $$$ question... Do replacing these mounts mess with the warranty?

Has anyone actually had experience with a dealer and aftermarket upper & lower mounts?

Also, @RedVN forgive the ignorance, but is there a difference in 6spd and Auto mount? I'm interested for sure.
First no there is no warranty issue. However check with your individual Dealership Service Manager. BE open and cordial about what you are planning and simply ask for approval IAW with the Hyundai Assurance Track Warranty.

I have no issue with them and the dealership. but they aren't going to warranty the mounts.

As far as I know and looking at the DCT setup, none but I don't own one. I've looked at them in person, photos and compared them part numbers and there is no difference.

Awesome, Thanks for the response. I have a 6spd as well. just wanted to make sure. I would be totally up for a trans mount.

Thanks for the great write-ups on these! I just ordered them! I am an install novice but these don't look too hard to install. I will need to get a nice jack and stands as I sold mine a while back in one of my countless moves. Thanks again!

@RedVN any possibility on a group buy "package deal" for either both mounts or all 3?
I'll have to talk to them specifically.

The transmission isn't being produced at this time, as there isn't enough interest. If more people will commit to a purchase, they'll for the trans mount.

I'm definitely interested in a trans mount. I'd be down for placing a deposit as well. How do we convey there's enough interest?

You done so right here.:)(y)

It’s simply comes down to the numbers of interested purchasers and dollars for manufacture.

Thank you for your input.

Installed my lower mount on Thursday. My torque wrench only does 80ftlb so I need one that can do 155 for the upper. Beautifully crafted pieces I might add. Quality is superb. However, the rear bolts didn't line up and I had to shift the engine a bit so I could get the bolts in without stripping them.

I actually didn't notice any additional vibrations until today but it only happens when the car isn't in N mode and only with the A/C on. If I turn on the car with no ac in normal mode it behaves fine. Doesn't feel like an issue with the mount. Has anyone experienced this same thing with just the lower mount?

Bonus question, I torqued the big bolt to 80ftlb(I believe the manual stated 85) but it felt like it was gonna snap if I tried any harder(at my torque wrench maxes at 80). Can anyone conform the torque specs for the ttr rmm specifically? Stock mount specs state 45 for the rear bolts and 85 for the big one but since this isn't a stock part and the oem rear bolts are replaced I'd assume they have different specs, no?

Give me a bit I’ll have to look for them. I can’t remember off the top of my head. You’ll need to retorted after 250-500 miles.
Bought my Veloster N last week. Take delivery end of month. Already purchased TTR upper and lower mounts based on research. In for trans mount when ready. Willing to install and test as well. I will be tracking the car and driving to/from. Do all my own work. Yes will send money :)
Thank you for your input!👍
