Now that the 2020's are out, and really cant see any differences in them from the 2019, it would be interesting to know Hyundai's total sales numbers on the 2019 Veloster N with the PP. How many of us are there out there with this car? I would bet a 1000 or less. As of right now there are only 2 registered in my own state, and one is mine. Its so nice to have a car that doesn't look the same as everything on the road now. Have had mine for a week now, and so far i cant go anywhere without people starring or walking up and asking questions. Lets not forget the handling of this car. **** Albert did a great job on this car for Hyundai. But does anyone know if on the drive mods and you select N Custom and then configure the suspension to normal. Is that the same normal as in the Normal Drive mode on the car. It feels a little stiffer to me. Maybe its me. But i thought I heard Albert say when in N mode whether in full on N or custom that the settings are still more aggressive than the normal drive modes.

I know of 2 in CT, mine and one of the guys at the dealer I bought from had one. There very well could be more but I haven't seen any on the road. It's definitely refreshing knowing that I'm driving something that is pretty unique and am excited to take it out for C&C events!

I heard through the grape vine that they only import 200 with the PP to the USA. It's only what I heard, I'm not saying it is accurate. If that's the case this car will be worth some cash in the future...

Best regards,

I've seen one other N PP in my rural area of OH. Happen to run into a guy w/ a black N PP. Nice guy, we talked for a while and made some noise as we were leaving. I'm sure there are more than us two in OH though. While shopping in April there were around 6 statewide. I'm assuming those have sold and been replaced so I'm guessing at least 6-8 each sold in Cincinnati/Cleveland/Columbus areas. 25-30 in the state? Does that seem high?

A lot of people are going out of state to buy. I live in Arkansas and went to Regional Hyundai in Broken Arrow, OK to get mine. I was looking at 2 of them. One in Broken Arrow, and another one in Silsbee, TX, just north of Beaumont, TX. Those were there the only 2 within a 1000 mile radius of me in the PP with the Blue. Regional Hyundai traded for this car. It had 291 miles on it so i got it under sticker. I got lucky i think. $28,500 out the door with free oil changes and custom tint.

There might be 3 around the Portland area. When I was shopping for mine in March, there was my blue PP (which I bought obviously), and another in Portland that was white w/o the PP. I met another owner that has the white w/ PP that got his in February but otherwise haven't seen any up for sale since then. I raced up around Seattle around then and nobody at that track had seen one before mine in mid July. Guess they're pretty scare in the PNW.

in the PNW and can confirm I haven't seen any Veloster Ns with PP for sale within 500 miles for a while recently. I'd be really interested to see what Carmax would value the N with and without PP. Maybe if dealers had better incentives (like free vapes with purchase), we'd see more out this way.

Another PNW brother! I am in Seattle with a white PP! Weirdly enough, I know there is another white N in Seattle as my buddy has sent me a picture of it and once my GF thought I was up to something because I was at soccer and she saw the other white one by my house! I bought mine at Hyundai of Kirkland and I know for a fact they sold 3. The white one to me (I was the first) and then they had a red and a black one that they sold very quickly. They got them by cashing in some favors to other dealerships in the PNW.

Interesting....! I thought your username looked familiar- you wouldn't have happened to post to the r/cars subreddit earlier in the year after you purchased? I remember reading a detailed post about a buyer in the PNW whom purchased a white N w/ PP and had many good things to say. At the time I was considering Golf R/ CTR/ VN and after reading the [your] post I went out to test drive the VN and purchased that same day!

Hope you're enjoying yours!,

cheers

There are 3 within a 1000 miles radius. Hyundai of Puyallup just sold theirs and they won't have another one come in until october (maybe) and color is unknown.

I've been shopping for a CTR but after various horrible experiences with Honda dealerships and being turned onto the VNPP - The Mrs and I have confirmed the replacement for aging Toyota Matrix will be a VNPP. There's two at Lynnwood dealership but that's just so far away from me and the details on the site suggest they don't have the PP which rules them out. As soon as another VNPP arrives in the puget sound there will be another one of us running around.

Vape420 - That is a good deal. Just test drove a black PP here in MA on 7/29/19. Car had 10 miles on it when I started and about 35 when I finished. Dealer quoted me $30,500. out the door. No ADM as far as I can figure. I want a blue or white one and they are trying to locate either option in the dealer network and make a trade. We'll see how that that works. If I could find a blue or white PP at the number you paid I would sign for it today. Only interested in the PP version as I plan to use it as a road registered "track day" car. Plan is to swap out the wheels, tires, brake pads/fluid plus install a race seat with a harness and a rollbar. At that point I will be all set to hit the track with a solid base set-up. Just out of curiosity, do you know why your car had the number of miles it did before you took delivery?

My Veloster PP was a dealer trade. That's why it had 291 miles on it. Actually met the old guy that drove it from Greenville, TX. I just got lucky with the timing. My car sat in the showroom for 2 days before i bought it. Most all are in the showrooms. My first mod will be a Forge Intercooler and intake right now. Not too many parts out right now, and really dont want to do anything that will void my warranty right this second.

Do you plan to track your car? What advantage do you see if you change to the Forge Intercooler, whether for street or track? What type of add-on components do you believe would void the factory warranty? I was very upfront with my dealer about my projected trackday usage for the car. I specifically asked them if this activity would have any effect on the warranty. They indicated it would not but based on other things I have read on this site there seems to be a feeling that trackday usage could possibly void the warranty. I know someone who has a Genesis Coupe that broke a motor at the track. He called Triple A, they came to the track, picked up the car and dropped it off in his driveway. He called Hyundai the next day, told them he had a car that would not start and was leaking fluid from the motor. Hyundai came to his house, picked up the car, diagnosed the car as needing a new engine and replaced it for zero dollars to the owner. The process took seven weeks and the dealer showed him an invoice for a $12K that would have been the charge had the engine replacement work not been covered under warranty.
