I would go with the 18s and then get 235/40 r18 tires. Same width as the stock tires, only 1/10” difference in diameter, and really improves the ride.
A bit cheaper too all the way around also. Almost a $100 difference per rim too between the 18"s and 19"s. Is the difference on the 18's in handling that much improved over the 19's?

Yes, but mostly because you will have trouble finding 19" rims as heavy as the stock ones. Almost anything you buy will shed weight, if you downsize at all the weight savings can be dramatic. You will definitely feel the difference. When I went with 18"s for winter tires my first thought was "well now I need 18"s for summer too"
