Apparently the guys in billetworkz are making a adapter for the N. They make some sexy knobs and they said to check in after new years.

red VN you better read a little the adapter shown is to use on their knobs and for the 2014 through 2018 years the knob on the 2019 and 2020 is a non threaded design it pulls off and pushes back on . i almost ordered one

The adapter works on the i30N as well as the VN. Fully aware the VN knobs pulls off and pushes on.

You might want to reread this thread https://n-cars.net/forums/threads/wearelikewise-shift-knobs-for-i30n.3944/ It's an adapter for other knobs, specifically Wearelikewise shift knobs and ones that thread on.

I'm not talking about pushing on or pulling off knobs. If you're wanting a pull off, push on OEM style knob you're very limited and you might consider one of these. I bought one of these! https://scgarageworks.com/product/veloster-n-carbon-fiber-shift-knob/

With the adapter remove the knob, put on the adapter and use the proper thread on, shift knob. Didn't say anything about putting on a OEM style knob, neither does the other thread.

There's also another thread discussing this. Top right hand side, search engine.

there's and adapter available already; They also have a nice selection of knobs.

Although technically the adapter fits its kind of useless concidering you need to cut the reverse lockout to get it to work. So yes its possible but id be more comfortable replacing the entire lockout ring as well to keep all my oem gear in one piece. That doesnt honestly seem to difficult cuz it seems like such a simple piece but again im not aware of any aftermarket lockout ring that fits.

Mike no offense intended, but when you're plagiarizing another individuals work or information, it's commonly appropriate to quote them directly. The photos and information came from a member and moderator on the i30N N-Car forum. This is a friend of mine, who was one of the first to install the adapter and shifter from wearelikewise shift knobs.

The shifter on the i30N is a bit different from the VN shifter. They're completely different Hyundai Part Numbers as well.
