I fit a roof rack to carry a couple bikes on top. Fit is excellent, towers offer lots of adjustability, quality is high, rock solid once snugged up. And as far as I can see so far, paint is protected quite well. Originally tried to save a buck and ordered a “cheap” Thule owned “sportrack,” but it was very low quality and a very poor fit... returned day after receiving.

The goods for those with interest:
Yakima
Baseline towers + applicable base clips
58” round bars
Forklift bike trays
Old adapted Thule wheel carriers

While I’d rather use my hitch rack for ease of install/removal & use, until a custom hitch is figured out...

Hey PBN, I'm looking to get the Yakima racks for my N. Everything is in stock except for a set of base clips. The Yakima site says I need a 123 and a 168. The 123 is not in stock. Can you tell if that's what you have and can you tell why they recommend the two different clips?

Thanks!

I have the BC123 and BC162. But... Its not the physical clips (they are both the same (B84)), its the rubber foot/pad that is different. Front uses the #4 rubber pad, the rear uses #3. The different pads are necessary because of the roof dimension/spacing/etc. from edge to rain gutter where the foot sits.

So, the BC162 includes a B84 clip and #4 pad, BC123 includes a B84 clip and #3 pad. That’s the only difference. Thus you could get two BC 162s and source a replacement rubber pad (#3) separately. Take a look at the photos, and hopefully it helps claiify (Second image shows both BC kit contents for front and rear).
