Either I've lost my mind or it seems like the rear window in particular but also the hatch itself to a lesser extent is practically uncleanable. I wash it and then after drying, there's still a layer of dust. I noticed this too after the dealer washed my car yesterday. Whole car looked clean except the rear. Anyone else?

It's just a thing that happens with hatches, be it a compact hatch, wagon, or suv. It's due to the low pressure zone directly behind the hatch and the high pressure zones all around it.

Is it possible there might have been paint overspray carried by wind that might be only contaminated the rear hatch? That happened to my Elantra. Took a clay bar to it and got it fresh and smooth again!
