Hey all, I’m interested in buying a used vn base with about 11k miles. Now I know the pp is the better car overall but I don’t want to pay 25-30k for one either used or new, the one I’m looking at Is like 22k, which for me is where my limit is at. Is there anything bad I should know about these cars or anything that would possibly deter me from getting one? I wish I could have the active exhaust but honestly the rest doesn’t matter much, I don’t drive super hard and I don’t track/autox so it’s just a fun good looking daily with a good warranty lol. Anyone with the base have any thoughts about it vs the pp? Hopefully looking at it tomorrow but just kinda want base thoughts and opinions beforehand, thanks!

Happy VN Base owner of 6500 miles reporting here.

Other than eLSD, I don't think there's much in the PP that I'd really notice if I had it. But I haven't been to the track, where the PP package would matter more.

I was buying to a price point as well, and the only other new car that I would have bought in my budget would have been a Veloster R Spec.

My two cents... go for it!

I love my N PP, but the interior is fairly plain, and some of the nicer features that are available in other trims are absent as well. If i didn't want to drive it hard (which I do) or on the track (which I will) then I probably would have looked at the Veloster Turbo, where you can get leather heated seats etc., in the price range you are looking at. My opinion is that the N badge means every spare dime went into performance over comfort and amenities.

I have a base and i am quite happy . i dont have to pay 30.00 to 50.00 more for the 19 in tires which ride rough, I was never overly impressed with the snap pop , I like mine just the way it is. The car does everything i ask of it and does it very good if you are not going to be on the track avery other week , then the base is a phenomenal car To say the least it is the perfect car for me.and i have 1900 miles on my car now.
