Hey guys just bought a new veloster N pp last weekend. Right after I drive it off the lot it feels slow, and I notice the “turbo” gauge never rises off 0 even at 4K rpm+. Literally always 0.0 and Feels really slow. Was wondering if anyone else had this issue, Hyundai is looking at it day after Christmas. Feeling pretty bummed.

So, I once had this happen after installing my BOV and throttle body spacer. I had forgotten to tighten down the hose clamp from the charge pipe to the intake manifold and 1 good pull blew the loosely connected charge pipe off. No turbo. I panic. Car is slow.

Pop the hood and see what I've done, fix it, purrs like a walrus again.

It's not the RPM that matters. I don't know if you've had a turbo car before but if you baby it to get up to 4k RPM you won't get any boost. You have to be aggressive with the gas.

Don't keep driving the car either. The issue could be a simply as one of the boost solenoid lines has cracked at one of the fitting, the boost solenoid has failed, the recirculation hose has popped off the BOV fitting or the OEM ECU software need to be reflashed.

Someone else had the same issue recently and I believe their particular fix was; their Hyundai Service Department re-flashed the OEM ECU software. No matter it's Hyundai's issue and you need to take it in hook up the GDS and diagnosis the issue.

You're not alone.

Exact same issue. Had the problem a couple of days ago (2020 N PP @ 10k Kms.) Also no CEL. . I brought to Service and they said that they ordered a Boost Pressure sensor. supposed to come in this week.

I'm pretty sure they did not reset the ECU or anything.

So they replaced the Boost Pressure sensor and when I drove the it's still the same issue, I went back to service and they said I need to leave the car for a day or two.

Will keep you guys posted.

I'm assuming if I disconnect my battery: will it reset my ECU ?
