Thrilled to find a forum for my fellow N fans. After months of research: weighed the WRX, GTI, Civic Si... I chose the Veloster N. I have had a soft spot for Hyundai since I owned a 2003 Tiburon GT and drove the **** out of it. I was surprised with the quality and performance then and the Veloster N has continued to delight me. I’ve driven the car a couple months now and ready to settle in for a PA winter... ready to get some advice on snow tires for the N. Looking forward to reading your posts!

Congrats on your ride. I'm running Pirelli Winter Sottozero in 225/40/18. Just had our first snow and I'm seriously impressed. Stop, go and turn on the white stuff like it wasn't even there. Great dry traction at freezing temps and the wet traction is on point too. Great tire but it does cost.
Hello from Wheeling area, I too purchased mine last weekend! hope to see you at some PCS events

Sottozero is on my short list of choices. Probably what I’ll end up with. Gotta pull the trigger this week on this thing as the weather is getting rough. What rims did you choose?

Thank you! Where are events usually??
Rial Lucca in Gloss Black and kinda wish I did the machined black instead.

So it snowed a bit more and the temps were down to 23* this morning. On icy slush and even straight up ice I still had heaps of traction. She still stopped on a dime which caught me off guard and acceleration left traffic wanting. I will buy these again once they wear out. You can drive your N like you want to.

This is great news! I don’t want to sacrifice the performance I love about this car for half the year. I am excited to still zip around the city in the slush. I’ve decided on the Sottozero.. down to my wheel choice. I really like the look of the gloss black, I think you made a good choice for your color. It’s the first red N I’ve seen... looks sharp.
Congrats on the purchase! I think the gloss black Rials look slick on CherryBomb's red VN. For the chalk white, I liked the pop of the machined black. So, that's what I went with for the all-season shoes.

These look amazing!! I am absolutely overwhelmed with choices. I had a set of bronze sparco wheels in my cart and just couldn’t go that far off the rails... now I’m totally regretting it! I ended up purchasing the Pirelli Sottozero serie II and the Rial wheels. They were a pretty reasonably priced choice on tire rack so I finally voted with my wallet. Now the long wait till Monday when they arrive! Pics to follow!
You will not be disappointed. I look forward to snow days now. Just another chance to hoon in the N when the opportunity arises.

They typically have events all over the city, but the usual go to is waterfront thursdays. Im not sure what their plans this year are though, their meets were starting to get pretty big.
