Hello,

I'm moving over here from the Hyundai forums. I Just traded in my 2017 Tucson on an N. The Tucson was my first turbo car and I did some mods to it, some of which I built myself. So I am looking forward to enjoying and modding my N. Only had it for two day now and I have the "H"s painted black and the Veloster emblem removed.

The blacked out emblems look great! I am hoping to do the same with mine. What did you use to paint them? How hard was it to get the front emblem off? I can’t tell if it’s bolted in or just glued on. Can you walk us through the process?

I'm a fan! I like the black. I've been looking at the rear end on mine lately and thinking I really want the big H gone. I've gotten a couple quotes from the only places I would trust to do the work. Not cheap but I want it done right, and I'm willing to pay for someone's skills.

The H has two plastic prongs that are there just for alignment and are slightly loose, plus the glue. My wife's hair dryer on high worked. I recommend fishing line over dental floss if you want to save time. I don't believe the N or the veloster badge have prongs.

Another Illinois black VN owner here, congrats to you!

How do you like that big blue IL plate on the front ;) I've wondered if a license plate relocator would be worth it.

Interesting about the blackening work you're doing. A buddy of mine recommends making everything black. Chrome included. I'm not in a hurry.
