Hi guys!

Is anyone able to tell me what the configurations for the various maps on the JB4 are? Also, I am wondering what stock boost levels are with the performance package veloster n and how much boost is increased with the JB4 maps.

Thank you!

Stock boost levels usually peak between 15-16psi, depending on ambient temperatures (and other factors). I know lap3 pro tuner peaks around 20psi on 93 octane (I believe stock ecu limits boost at 21psi). I imagine jb4 is somewhere in that area depending on your chosen map.

Has any one done the Firmware update on there JB4 To version 15 stable or 16 beta? I did it last night and while it was updating my fan kicked on. The car was running great as i just did the AFE DOWN PIPE AND MID But shortly after I noticed my fan will not shut off until I turn the car off now it starts running immediately after starting the car? Any one else have this issue or any suggestions? I would appreciate any feedback or advice.

Hi N Style Motorsports,

Did this only happen after updating to the beta version? I would guess the stable version has less tweaks. Also if I may ask, did you use a lift or jack stands to install the downpipe?

Switch back to the previous version and see if it stops before doing anything else.

No actually I had a shop do the install. I live in an apartment so there was no way I could even attempt it. Also the shop did it for very cheap considering i promised him i have about 4 more N's coming to do the install and just spreading the word around for him!

I managed to find the problem. It was the fan control module some how water got in? There is a big plug underneath the intake where you would hook up a velosa tech big mouth ( the part that would feed air to the stock airbox ) very strange I've never washed the engine ( like spaying it with water) but some how water made its way in to this big plug i unplugged it cleaned and dried it and everything is working fine. It has nothing to do with the JB4 update just a Weird coincidence.

Hey I'm wondering if it is ok to run Map 2 on 91 oct for short stints or should I stick to Map 1 only?
Iver been told by burger motor sports that you can run 91 on map 2 but it must contain ethanol.. I personally wouldn’t run it, but it wouldn’t hurt to try it out, log it, and send a log in to BMS.

This thread makes me concerned about my JB4, because I'm running Map 1 (only have access to 91 here) and I'm consistently hitting 21-22 psi according to it, but from that sounds of it, that's way over what Map 1 should be allowing.

The higher boost reading is from the JB4 gauges and logging; in comparison, the in-cluster bar gauges aren't that accurate, but it only appears to hit 17-18 psi when the JB4 is reading 20+. Still, that would be a much higher gain than Map1 is supposed to produce. Maybe the factory boost gauge just isn't that useful?
