So I changed my intake to a takeda one. Clips were in, drove to the store and back. Clips were slightly out, not locked in but still there. (I'm referring to the small black plastic clips that connect the intake to the front of the car, where the snorkel goes) Now I really examine them, and make sure I get them in correctly and they snap in. I wiggle the intake, seems fine. I go for a more spirited drive have a little wheel hop, clips are gone completely when I get back. Anyone have an suggestions?

Maybe some stronger clips. Try to see if the ones holding the skid plate will fit, if not you might have to experiment at some store and try different ones out.

One of mine flew out so I just took the other one out too. Doesn't do anything bad. They need to send bigger centered clips/pins with the intake. It's NOT you.....

Reviving this thread...just noticed the same on my recently installed Takeda Intake. I'm OCD so not having those pins is killing me. And even though the intake feels secure, I dont want to take any chances...anyone find bigger aftermarket ones that fit?
