Hey,

I'm in Austin, TX. I corresponded with dealers within a 400 mile radius for a Veloster N with the performance package. Some of them would not budge from msrp or offered $1,000-$1,500 off of MSRP.

With 2 bad quarters, I thought I'd find better pricing. I saw some of you mention that a few Michigan dealers were offering $5k off of MSRP. I'm not expecting that much but I thought I find something close. Have you had better luck?

Thanks :)

Seems to depend on if its popular in your area or not. In miami they upcharge them close to 40k sometimes for a non pp. But then i see in south Carolina they have them discounted like 5k. Its really weird.

I recommend searching for a dealer with a good price and negotiate a delivery. I got mine 600 miles away with free delivery. Not a penny over msrp back in july 2019.

High demand car for sure. I bought mine in September and paid bit of sticker $30,535 and worth every penny. Very hard to find a PP. I would’ve preferred signature blue color but had to dealer locate 100 miles just to find a white one. They knew they had me at that point; my negotiations are futile. The scarcity of them make it that much more attractive IMO. Plus the possibility of this being the end of the manual transmission... if you find one now... just give them your money!

Idk what to tell you. I’m working in Lynchburg VA. (I live in Charlotte, NC) I started going to the Hyuandai dealership here to have routine things done on my 2015 (red) Veloster turbo. They had a 2 Ns in the lot last October, a black one and that light blue. Stopped by again in January to have new tires put on my 2015, had a couple hours to kill and test drove the Blue Veloster N...needless to say I walked out of there with a new car (well, it’s a 2019, it had 62 miles on it). I LOVE it!!!! 💙💙💙 Get ALL kinda of compliments on it and its color.

I got a dealer telling that the veloster is being discontinued....... no idea if this a sleezy sales pitch to buy now or if there's some truth to it.....
anyone have any insights?
No it's not being discontinued they're literally releasing a DCT format this summer. It's their flagship N car it's not going anywhere. If anything they'll be making a higher volume, it's too popular to kill.

If you are a michigan resident you get M-plan plus discounts on top, they were practically begging me to buy for 25k WITH performance pack for a 2020. I could get it down to 24k on a 30k msrp

Edit: if anyone wants to buy cash they can go through me. pay me 26k+ tax title etc. I'll buy the car and sell it to you. I'll get a 1000 out of it, and you'll save at least 4k if you aren't a MI resident already :)

I'm not looking into veloster N anymore. Trying to get type R for 33,500 for a left over 2019 but dealer is at 34,500 currently.

Funny the things that salespeople will say :)

This weekend I took look at a BMW M2. It had a $5,000 M2 performance exhaust on it. The sales guy could not stop talking about. Practically telling me that the car will go up in value.

I live in Los Angeles County and with a 250 mile radius search I could only find 8 N's 6 of them were PP.
all the dealers in LA county were asking $33,500 and they all said its this price because this is a rare car and they added security stuff, nitro in the tires, scratch guard, blah blah blah… I went to 8 dealers and finally one dealer in san Fernando let me get one for $31500. So I took it and I do love it, but I also get a little jealous when I hear some one say they got one for lower then msrp. oh well, I have no regrets.
