Hood struts

I have the black set, believe they’re the “plus” and they’re working great. Only complaint is the first time opening the hood a week or so after install it almost smacked me in the chin because I was so used to lifting our heavy ass hood and forgot the struts were on there I guess.

I have the elite set with the carbon fiber. I genuinely love them. It seems silly but it's BY FAR my favorite car mod. It was incredibly easy to install, just a few bolts here and a few bolts there. The hood is so easy to lift now. There is not a single time I have lifted the hood since I put them on that I do not feel self satisfied with the decision to purchase. You can buy a CAI, or a motor mount, or an intercooler, or a new exhaust system, or a lightweight battery, or a clear bra, and think "that's it? I spent my money on that almost tiny difference?". But when you buy these things you will never feel that way. Every single time you lift your hood will feel like you just entered a sci-fi airlock as you hear those gas struts woosh up your engine to reveal what's inside.
I'm not telling you that you HAVE to get this. But if you put this on your car and then go compare your engine with another VN owner who doesn't have it installed then it will feel like playing swords with a 11 incher at the urinal. There is just no way that they won't be impressed with you and a little bit ashamed at themselves at the same time.
