I notice a lot of owners on here are coming from GTI's. I am currently a GTI owner and looking at a replacement such as an N or Type R. Just did some bear mountain runs this morning in NY and we had a couple CTR and GTI to compare. It was good fun, and we are all car enthusiast, so was wondering if anyone on here has an N Performance Pack and is in the area. Would be cool to check one out and talk to some owners.

We have a car crew here in the PA, MD, VA area. I think there are 5 N's so far and bunch of VTs.

I dumped my '19 GTI SE for my N after two weeks. I loved a few of the features it had over the N but even with the hit I took financially I don't regret my purchase in any way. Always up for a meet but I dont think there's much in the northern VT area.

I would argue that a top trim gti is better than the N but after driving a vw for 3 years i was bored to death with them. Plus the loaded gti's were stupid expensive. The N was the cheepest way to have fun every day for me and thats worth the luxury and comfort you forfeit to me personally.

Seeing the specs for the next Golf lineup will be interesting. Both the GTI and the R will have (if the specs stay true) more HP and TQ than the VN. Obviously, no word yet on price for either of those, but the R has always been around the $40k mark. Still for me, I like the styling cues and the feel of the VN.
