It's okay to drive it hard after 600 miles on the odometer, according to the owner's manual. I'm sure that number already has a built-in margin for error so there is no reason to add more margin.
Other car manufacturers may have a 1000-mile break-in period, but as cars are being engineered better and with closer tolerances, there's no reason to disbelieve the 600 number that Hyundai gives us, imho.
