Factory exhaust sounds decent

There are a few drivetests/clips of the Veloster N online and for the most part they seem to indicate a pretty good factory exhaust setup. Here's a little clip of how it sounds under acceleration and downshifting.

Very tame sounding system which is always a good thing if you want to target a wide range of markets with varying restrictions or lack of it.
Do you think aftermarket exhaust makers will jump on the Veloster N to create a full headers back system?
The pops/crackling sound great. Honestly don't think its necessary to put anything other than a cat back system on here.

True, and some might not even do that as to say covert and not attract cop attention. A lot can be done elsewhere that actually improves performance. For the same price of a cat-back system, I can get performance brake pads and maybe a sway bar that would suit my needs better.
Could always just look into a muffler/resonator delete if its just the note that you are looking to change. Since we've already seen companies like Greddy get on board with the regular Veloster, we'll probably see a bunch of aftermarket systems become available for the N.
With the active exhaust and performance package, ours sound great! The video just doesn't do it justice in any way. I'll post a video and sound clip when I have some time. That is when I'm not driving it so much,

The stock exhaust is loud enough lol I just got a ticket 2 weeks ago for the exhaust

How can they justify a ticket for stock exhaust?
Hope you're fighting it.

Good thing I didn't drive by that cop in my old Fiesta ST ... That was so loud I had to stuff pillows in the trunk to make the interior quiet enough to talk ...
I'm on the east coast and I'm trying to but I still haven't gone to court yet
Best of luck. The cop who wrote you, must have been a real numb nuts. Nice thing for you is he has to show up in court. If he doesn't show, it's a win win situation for you. I presume, you told him it was an OEM Exhaust and he didn't believe you?
I love the exhaust on my PP. The piping is quite big and really doesn't need any changing. This exhaust is just fine with mostly any upgrade you want to do. This is a car that just keeps giving. LOL...

Get rid of the resonator with a straight pipe. They have one for the i30N on eBay. You just have to cut out the resonator then the straight pipe fits with clamps.
