I have adopted a second dog and this one doesn't stay in the trunk. Does anyone have a dog barrier they can recommend? I cannot believe my first post is this, I actually want to get new wheels, but this is the priorty FML
As a fellow pooch owner, I wouldn't recommend driving with a pet loose in the car - even a low speed collison can hurt them pretty badly and obviously high speed could be much worse...
The safest thing is for them to have a chest harness and a lead with minimal slack that either goes into the buckle or attaches to the buckled seat belt. I understand with larger dogs this might prove challenging in our cars but anything we can do to keep our best friends safe is worth it imo.
I have 2 medium dogs and I use and recommend these doggie seat belts. These have a seat belt connection if they go in the back seat and the also have a locking hook if you put them in the hatch. they can also be adjusted to be longer or shorter and they work beautifully!
