the update is in the phones software not the head unit. Its a server based update. I can't wait to get it.

If you open the app on your phone and go to settings, there is a checkbox to enable the new version if you haven't gotten it yet.

Yeah I was waiting as well. Android Police mentioned that the update was released on July 30th. I was getting close to wiping the data on the app or even reinstalling it. Then I saw that setting.

Apple Car Play is also getting an update soon! I believe its in iOS 13 which you can DL the beta for if you want to. Similar update I think as it gives the ability to have a "home" screen with multiple windows of different apps, which I have wanted for SO long!
