I was thinking of making an official thread where people that have bought aftermarket wheels for their Veloster N can put the type of wheel they got, tire, Sizing, any suspension modifications and what not. I know other forums have this and it was really useful when looking for aftermarket wheels on my previous cars. You can start by putting the

Wheel name + Spec
Tire Name + Specs
Any after market suspension Parts?
Any rubbing/clearance or other issues?
Pictures

Didn’t see an official thread on this forum and I was thinking this will help the forum stay organized and might be helpful to anyone looking to go aftermarket on tires and wheels.

2019 Veloster N Performance Package
Enkei Performance PDC wheels, 18x8 +50 offset
Firestone Indy 500 235/40R18 summer tires
Michelin Pilot Alpin 235/40R18 winter tires

Stock suspension
No rubbing or clearance issues, tires are same width as OEM and only 1/10" diameter smaller
Wheel offset +50 as opposed to the +55 OEM

I think the extra sidewall with this configuration is a big improvement in ride quality and still handles as sharply

2020 Veloster N Performance Package
Enkei TS-10 18x8.5 +50 offset
Nitto NT555 G2 245/40/18
Stock Suspension
This combination is about a 1/4" larger in diameter than the OEM PP setup. Even with the larger wheel and tire width, there is no rubbing on any suspension components. No issues at full wheel lock. Fitment is nearly flush.

I ran over a pothole and blew my stock 19 inch side wall so the tire was irreparable. I was eventually going to get 18 inch wheels because they’re cheaper, lighter and also have a more comfortable ride quality then the stock 19 inch, also are less likely to mess up when going over potholes. I would’ve kept the 19 inch till the thread wore out on the stock tires but seems like god had a different plan lol

Needed a non-summer tire for the days we're below 50F. And, I wanted a bit softer ride plus more protection from the stupid potholes around Atlanta. So, I went with 18s. I liked the look of the stock 19s, and these Rials are pretty close in design. I had the A/S 3+ (ZR) on my Genesis Coupe 3.8, so I was already very familiar with their handling capabilities in the wet and dry. The Rials plus the Michelins netted a savings of little more than 6 pounds of unsprung weight per wheel over the stock 19s with the P-Zeros.

2020 VN PP
Rial Lucca Machined/Black 18x8 +50mm
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ 225/40ZR-18
Stock suspension -- no rubbing issues.

Why did everyone move from the 19 inch wheel to the 18 inch? Just bought my N PP this week and looking for a winter set rubbers. Going into an 18 for winter wheels would be far cheaper. Thanks in advance.
Basically what everyone already said. More comfortable ride and I like the look of a meatier sidewall rather than the rubber band OEM look.

I'm going to 18s once the stock tires wear out.

OEM tire pressure monitoring system

Hey y'all. I see that all of you guys are running some clean looking wheel and tire setups. Im wondering if you guys installed a TPMS in your new setups. I blew out a tire and I'm looking to get 18" wheels with a thicker tire to prevent future blowouts. I'm trying to save some money by not getting a TPMS included in my tire and wheel package. Have any of you guys tried to take the OEM TPMS and putting it on your aftermarket wheels successfully?

I got my oem TPMS from my 19in PP wheels and put them on my 18inch aftermarket wheels with no problems. As long as your tpms didn’t get damage from blowing your tire out you should be good!

Downsized to 18 inch wheels going for comfort and tire life.

Rial Kodiak 18x7.5
Bridgestone Turanza Quiettrack XL 225/40R-18

I weighed them before putting them on and wheel + tire = 49.6 lbs. Stock 19 inch ones were 51.6 lbs. for those who care.

Looks Nice! Did you have to use any centering rings to mount these wheels? Do you get any vibration at highway speeds?
I have the same Rial Kodiak wheels but in Graphite Silver for my other car with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 and they handle great. If I can mount them to the Veloster without any modifications (less TPMS) that would be great!

I hope I didn't need centering rings because I definitely didn't use any. Just bolted them on as they came from TireRack. That being said I haven't noticed any issues so far. I was a little worried when I first put them on as they have little clearance over the brake calipers, but I haven't had any problem so I guess its fine there too.

I do need to get something to reset my TPMS though. Anyone have suggestions?
