Hello.

I've noticed a couple of time, coming out of tight long right hander in 4th or 5th gear (like an on-ramp access) at high speed, when I come to engage 6th gear it does not want to fully engage. I have to either go back to 4th gear, or shift down to

We have seen the same issue on Type-R where the shift lever was popping out of the gear...

Am I the only one here with that issue??

tks

I had the same issue for a couple of mornings but noticed I was being to soft with the shifter, it evened flashed the 6th gear light indicator when it would not engage.. I resoved this by not being so light with my shift, it's a non issue now. Hopefully that helps

I just came back from a 250 miles plus fun drive on back roads with bend after bend. So I took notice of how the gear change into 6th gear was working, mainly because I was going up and down the gearbox.
My gearbox is a little tighter when I go up to 6th gear compared to the other gears. I only once did not get it into gear the first attempt, and that was my fault because I got lazy and released the clutch before it was full engaged. I found that if I move the gear stick quickly it is good, if not a little notchy.
My car only has about 1200 miles on my VN, I was wondering if people with higher mileage on their VN, if it has got smoother over time.
I can only say that the VN+PP is an incredible car for the money. The road holding and acceleration keeps amazing me, even without using high revs in every gear, it is great. Dave
